Agartala, February 14, 2023: AITC leader and West Bengal minister Bratya Basu is well confident about Trinamool Congress’ victory in Tripura as people are secretly supporting the party led by Mamata Banerjee which was seen in West Bengal’s election in 2011.

Speaking to media personnel at TMC state headquarters here on Tuesday afternoon, Basu said “I have come to the state after 10 months and found that the TMC organization is now well-organized. TMC wants to maintain the concept of being a disciplined organization.”

“In the past, I have seen that people are well aware and immense love for Mamata Banerjee. But there was no proper organization. People was spontaneous, aggrieved against the BJP’s misrule, all these were happening separately and it takes a strong organization to reflect this at the ballot box. Accordingly, under the guidance of Rajib Banerjee, Sushmita Dev and party’s state president Pijush Kanti Biswas had created a strong base in the state”, he added.

West Bengal minister said “In all the 28 seats, our TMC candidates are fighting desperately. People are with us. Yesterday, I held meeting in various assembly constituencies, Kamalasagar, Bishalgarh, Banamalipur, Ramnagar, Teliamura, talked with people. People are not willing to come out of their house due to the reign of terror constituted by BJP. By seeing their faces, it is clear that the way people supported TMC secretly in 2011 in West Bengal, it is going to be repeated here as well. We have faith on people and TMC will play a significant role in this year’s election of Tripura.”

In the press conference, AITC leader and Tripura in-charge Rajib Banerjee said that today is the last day of campaigning. All candidates along with star campaigners are campaigning.

“We want to restore democracy. The way development trend is going on in West Bengal under the leadership of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, on the same way, we want to develop Tripura in the same way”, he added.
