Agartala, 8th February 2026 : The family of 31-year-old Biswajit Debnath from Satchand Navagram ONGC area under Sabroom subdivision is facing a grave crisis as he battles for his life due to complete kidney failure.
Biswajit, the sole earning member of his family, has been diagnosed with failure of both kidneys. Due to severe financial constraints, the family is unable to bear the cost of his treatment. Doctors have advised that an urgent kidney transplant is the only way to save his life, which requires a suitable donor as well as a large amount of money.
Biswajit had recently begun a new married life, and his income was the only support for his parents, one younger brother, and a sister. With his deteriorating health, he is no longer able to work, pushing the entire family into uncertainty.
According to family members, Biswajit had travelled to Chennai for medical consultation, where he is currently undergoing dialysis. Doctors there have clearly stated that without an immediate kidney transplant, his chances of survival are extremely slim.
With tears in their eyes, Biswajit’s parents—Sadhan Debnath and Uma Debnath—have made an emotional appeal to save their son’s life. Biswajit and his mother have also appealed to the government led by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha for urgent financial and medical assistance.
Now, all eyes are on the state government to see how it responds to the desperate plea of this young man and his helpless family, who are fighting against time to save a life.
