Each hall will have a seating capacity of 500, with an estimated expenditure of Rs 12 crore for the construction of these three facilities.
The project is part of a larger plan to build 19 community halls across the ADC region, catering to 19 tribal groups. Once completed, these halls will serve as permanent infrastructure for social, cultural, and family events.
The foundation stones were laid and plaques unveiled by ADC Executive Member Kamal Kaloi at three locations: Garji Natintila Garu ground, Garji Noatia Hada ground, and Buragat Murasingh Para.
Several dignitaries attended the ceremony, including social worker Debit Murasingh, Marak community leader Subhash Marak, Noatia community leader Uday Singh Noatia, and Murasin community leader Sunil Murasin, along with local residents. The event drew widespread enthusiasm among the community.
Many hailed the initiative, taken under the leadership of Maharaja Pradyot Kishore Debbarman, as a historic step toward preserving tribal traditions, promoting cultural activities, and strengthening social unity. The halls are expected to play a vital role in fostering community development and cultural enrichment in the years ahead.
