Tripura BJP Prepares for TTAADC Polls with Intensive Northeast Training in Guwahati

Agartala, 23rd  February 2026 :  In a strategic move ahead of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections, a 16-member delegation from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), led by State President Rajib Bhattacharya, participated in the “North East Training Mahabhiyan – 2026” workshop in Guwahati today.

The event, aimed at strengthening party machinery in the region, gathered senior BJP leaders and workers from across the Northeast for sessions on organizational strategies, ideological reinforcement, and election preparedness.

Bhattacharya emphasized the importance of grassroots mobilization, stating that a well-organized structure and coordinated efforts by party workers are key to reaching the tribal electorate effectively. “The training provided us with insights into enhancing our outreach and making the party more dynamic in the region,” he said.

The delegation from Tripura included Social Welfare Minister Tinku Roy, Panchayat Minister Kishor Barman, MLAs Rampada Jamatia and Bhagaban Das, party spokesperson Subrata Chakraborty, Nadendu Bhattacharya, BJP General Secretary Amit Rakshit, among others.

Observers say the workshop reflects BJP’s broader strategy to consolidate its influence in the Northeast, focusing on organizational strength and strategic planning ahead of crucial local elections.
