Agartala, 12th March 2026: A special health camp and Ayushman Bharat card distribution drive was successfully organized today at the Community Hall of Ward No. 1 under South Kadamtala Sub-Centre, part of the Kadamtala Community Health Centre (CHC). The initiative aimed to extend quality healthcare services to rural residents and ensure access to government health insurance benefits.
One of the key highlights of the program was assistance with Ayushman Bharat card generation. A total of 24 beneficiaries collected their cards and registered for new ones, marking a significant step toward enabling cashless healthcare for underprivileged families in the region.
The camp recorded the participation of 19 patients, who underwent medical check-ups and received necessary advice from health workers. The diagnoses revealed 15 cases of high blood pressure, 2 cases of acute respiratory infection (ARI), 1 case of fever, and 1 case of diarrhea. Additionally, 4 patients were advised to be transferred to higher hospitals for advanced treatment.
All patients were provided with free medicines. Alongside treatment, health workers emphasized awareness on malaria prevention, diarrhea control, personal hygiene, and the importance of routine immunization surveys.
The program was efficiently coordinated by Multipurpose Health Worker (MPW) Anup Kumar Sharma, who also acted in a medical capacity. Panchayat member P.R. Bari and three ASHA workers lent active support, ensuring smooth execution of the camp.
The initiative sparked enthusiasm among locals, who expressed gratitude for receiving expert medical advice and government health cards at their doorstep. Residents hailed the effort as a meaningful step toward strengthening healthcare access in South Kadamtala.
