Agartala, 13th March 2026:   The administration of Dhalai district has confirmed that there is no shortage of petrol, diesel, or cooking gas in the region.

While briefing reporters here today, District Magistrate Vivek H.B. and Superintendent of Police Rusikesh Desai urged residents not to pay heed to rumors about fuel scarcity.

Earlier in the day, the District Magistrate convened an emergency meeting with owners of petrol pumps and gas agencies to review the current stock situation. Following the meeting, Vivek H.B. stated, “All petrol pumps and gas agencies have adequate supply. There is no disruption in distribution, and everything is functioning normally. People should not be misled by false claims.”

Superintendent of Police Rusikesh Desai emphasized public cooperation, warning against illegal activities related to fuel or gas. He said, “If anyone notices unlawful dealings or attempts to create an artificial crisis, they must immediately inform the police. Strict legal action will be taken against such groups. Citizens can directly approach the police for assistance in any matter.”

The district administration’s assurance comes amid circulating rumors of shortages, aiming to restore public confidence and maintain order.
