Agartala, 28th March 2026: With the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (ADC) elections drawing closer, political activity is heating up across constituencies. In the 7-Damchhara-Kochuchhara seat, BJP candidate Bipin Debbarma has launched an aggressive door-to-door campaign, aiming to secure victory for the saffron party.
This morning, Debbarma toured several areas including Balaram, Debbarma Para, and Kochuchhara, meeting voters directly at their homes. He was accompanied by Ambassa BJP Mandal president Ajay Adhikari, Hemali Debbarma, tribal leader Lalphir Halam, and other local BJP and Janajati Morcha leaders.
During his outreach, Debbarma not only sought votes but also paid respect to elderly residents by touching their feet for blessings, while listening to grievances and concerns of the local population.
Speaking to reporters, Debbarma alleged that residents had been neglected over the past five years, claiming that the sitting MDC had failed to deliver development. He asserted that people now want the BJP in power, promising that with BJP governments at the Centre, in the state, and in the ADC, a “triple engine” of development would accelerate progress.
Debbarma pledged to establish a transparent and impartial administration if elected, prioritizing education, healthcare, better roads, clean drinking water, and employment opportunities for unemployed youth.
He expressed confidence in victory, stating that the people of the ADC are ready for change and that the formation of a BJP-led council is only a matter of time.
