Agartala, 28th March 2026:  The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today organized a massive protest rally in Bishalgarh, raising strong objections against what it termed a “malicious and conspiratorial campaign” targeting local MLA Sushanta Deb.

According to allegations made by the BJP Mandal leadership, a section of individuals has been actively spreading propaganda against the Bishalgarh MLA on social media for a considerable period. The party claimed that such activities are part of a deliberate attempt to mislead the public and tarnish the image of both the MLA and the constituency.

The protest rally witnessed a significant turnout of BJP supporters, reflecting strong grassroots backing. The procession began from the BJP Mandal office in Bishalgarh and culminated at the Office Tilla Kalibari grounds, where party leaders addressed the gathering.

During the rally, BJP workers issued stern warnings to opposition parties, particularly the Congress and the CPI(M), accusing them of being indirectly involved in the alleged smear campaign. Party leaders asserted that such “baseless propaganda” would not be tolerated and vowed to counter any attempt to defame their elected representative.

Leaders further alleged that a faction of this “malicious clique” is working with the intent to hinder developmental initiatives undertaken in Bishalgarh. They claimed that efforts are being made to stall ongoing and proposed projects, thereby affecting the overall progress of the constituency.

Addressing the gathering, party representatives emphasized that the people of Bishalgarh are aware of the development work carried out under MLA Sushanta Deb’s leadership and would not be swayed by misinformation.

The BJP concluded the rally with a strong message, warning all “conspiratorial elements” to desist from such activities, while reiterating their commitment to continue development work in the region without disruption.
