Agartala, 9th April 2026: As election campaigns enter their final stretch, political parties are showcasing their strength across constituencies. Today, a major rally was held at Ganganagar Bazaar in support of candidate Bhumika Nanda Reang from the No. 8 Ganganagar-Gandatwisa constituency.
Ahead of the rally, thousands of party workers and leaders marched through the streets before gathering at the venue. The event saw the presence of BJP state president and Rajya Sabha member Rajib Bhattacharjee, candidate Bhumika Nanda Reang, state general secretary Amit Rakshit, and senior leader Bikash Chakma, among others.
During his address, BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee launched a sharp attack on the Tipra Motha party. He questioned the fate of the “Greater Tipraland” demand and accused the party of failing to account for Rs 40 crore allocated by the state government for building a hospital in Khumulwng for tribal communities. Bhattacharjee alleged that Tipra Motha has engaged in corruption over the past five years, drawing parallels with the CPM’s political practices.
