Focus on Public Welfare Will Strengthen BJP :  CM

Date:

Agartala, 6th May 2026:   Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on today underlined the importance of prioritizing public welfare and development, stating that such efforts are key to earning people’s trust and acceptance of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

He made the statement after presiding over the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Training Mahabhibhajan 2026 at the party’s state office in Agartala.

Dr. Saha said the initiative is designed to reinforce the party’s organizational strength, particularly at the grassroots level. Drawing inspiration from the philosophy of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, he noted that the programme aims to develop capable, disciplined, and service-oriented leadership across all tiers of the organization. He expressed confidence that the training will energize party activities and further solidify its base.

Describing training as an essential component of the BJP’s structure, the Chief Minister said such programmes are conducted annually. He explained that this year’s training will begin at the Mandal level with seven subjects outlined by the central leadership, including themes related to the state government’s development initiatives. The programme will then move to the district level, covering 12 subjects, followed by sessions at the state level. Training will also extend to the booth level to ensure wider reach.

Emphasizing ideological values, Dr. Saha said the teachings of Deendayal Upadhyaya stress service to society above all. He remarked that priority should be given to the nation first, followed by the party and then individual interests, with a strong focus on uplifting the most marginalized sections of society.

He also mentioned that the training programme, held every year, is being coordinated this time by party spokesperson Subrata Chakraborty.

Highlighting the significance of the ongoing workshop, Dr. Saha said that participants should absorb the lessons in both thought and action. He added that consistent focus on development and people-centric policies would naturally strengthen the party’s connection with the public.
