Agartala, February 28, 2023: An ‘Election Survey Report’ using the name of Maharaja Bir Bikram University has come out in the wake of the state assembly elections. The report claims that the survey was conducted jointly with Policy Research and Center for Contemporary India Study (PRACCIS), a Delhi-based think tank.

There are various observations throughout this report. In the last page of the report, a picture of a program of MBB University has been used. MBB University authorities are not associated with this report and MBB University has not published any poll survey report, University’s Registrar Dr Sumanta Chakraborty informed in a press communique on Tuesday.

He mentioned “The poll survey report titled ‘Tripura Electorate 2023 Election Survey Report’ published by Policy Research and Center for Contemporary India Study (PRACCIS) is an independent poll survey and MBB University has not authorized any individual group or organization to use its name or logo or image.”

“In the poll survey report published by Policy Research and Center for Contemporary India Study (PRACCIS), the university strongly condemned the use of MBB University’s name, logo, image, which has damaged the image of the university among the public”, the statement reads.
