Agartala, 27th May 2026: The Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) convened its Central Committee Conference at the Dasharath Deb Memorial Hall in Supari Bagan, Agartala, focusing on the demand for a separate state of Tipraland.
The event was attended by IPFT President Prem Kumar Reang, General Secretary and Minister Shuklacharan Noatia, General Secretary Swapan Debbarma, along with other party leaders. The conference began with the hoisting of the party flag by President Reang, followed by floral tributes to the portrait of late Minister and IPFT founder N.C. Debbarma.
Speaking to the media, General Secretary and Minister Shuklacharan Noatia stated that the Central Committee holds a one-day meeting every year. This year’s discussions included the outcome of the Autonomous District Council (ADC) elections and the party’s future plans. He further noted that IPFT has completed three years since its formation, and upcoming deliberations will include preparations for the state conference along with broader organizational matters.
The conference marks another step in IPFT’s ongoing political movement centered on the demand for Tipraland, while also reviewing electoral strategies and internal party issues.
