Agartala, 6th June 2026: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted a raid at the residence of notorious accused Rakhal Debnath in Bishalgarh on Saturday, acting on a tip-off. During the operation, the central agency seized four vehicles.
However, Rakhal himself managed to evade arrest. According to sources, investigators possess evidence that the accused has been involved in illegal activities by forging vehicle registration numbers. Preliminary reports suggest Rakhal has long been engaged in smuggling and other unlawful operations, prompting the agency to intensify efforts to apprehend him.
NIA officials refrained from disclosing details to the media but confirmed that several other individuals are under their radar. Sources indicate that these groups have been operating in Bishalgarh for an extended period, and further crackdowns are expected in the coming days.
