Secretary Milind Ramteke reviews School Education, stresses individual attention to improve foundational learning in Tripura

Agartala, 11th June 2026:   As part of the continuous monitoring of learning competencies of students and evaluation of teachers’ performance in government schools, Secretary to the Government of Tripura, School Education, Revenue and Urban Development Departments, Shri Milind Dharamrao Ramteke, IAS, attended a mass meeting with school heads at Amarpur Town Hall on Wednesday.

The meeting was organised in accordance with the directions of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tripura, with a focus on strengthening Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) and improving the overall quality of education in government schools across the state.

The session was attended by Head Masters, Head Mistresses and Teachers-in-Charge (TICs) of 107 Junior Basic (JB) and Senior Basic (SB) schools from four blocks — Amarpur, Ampinagar, Karbook and Silachari.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Ramteke urged the school heads and teachers to take personal responsibility for the learning progress of every child. He emphasised the need for individual attention towards students to ensure that no child is left behind and to enhance foundational learning outcomes during the current academic year.

“Every child in the school deserves personal attention and proper guidance. Improving foundational learning must remain the priority of every teacher and school authority,” the Secretary said while interacting with the participants.

He also highlighted the importance of regular monitoring, effective classroom practices and collective efforts by teachers and education officials to bring measurable improvement in students’ learning abilities.

The meeting was attended by Gomati District Magistrate and Collector, SDM Amarpur, District Education Officer (DEO), Gomati, along with all Inspectors of Schools and Block Resource Persons (BRPs)/Cluster Resource Persons (CRPs) of Amarpur and Karbook Sub-Divisions.
