The event aimed to highlight the urgent need to eliminate child labour, ensure access to education, and protect the fundamental rights of children.

Held at Polo Center Mall in Agartala at 9:00 a.m., the programme drew the participation of nearly 400 students. Discussions focused on the harmful impact of child labour, the importance of a safe and secure childhood, and the collective responsibility of society in safeguarding children’s futures.

The Labour Commissioner of Tripura attended as the chief guest, emphasizing the significance of joint efforts by government and society in eradicating child labour. He also underscored the need to guarantee educational opportunities for all children.

Students engaged audiences through a variety of activities, including awareness campaigns, interactive discussions, drawing exhibitions, and cultural performances. These creative initiatives conveyed a strong message about building a child labour–free society.

Participants collectively pledged to work towards raising awareness and protecting children’s rights. Organizers noted that the active involvement of around 400 students played a crucial role in spreading awareness and strengthening the movement against child labour.
