Assam Rifles leads by example on World Blood Donor Day

Agartala, 14th June 2026:   Demonstrating the spirit of selfless service and humanitarian commitment, troops of Assam Rifles actively participated in the World Blood Donor Day event held at Pragna Bhawan on June 14, 2026. The programme was organised by the Tripura State Blood Transfusion Council under the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Tripura, and was graced by the Chief Minister of Tripura as the Chief Guest.

A large number of personnel from the Agartala Battalion of Assam Rifles voluntarily donated blood during the event, reaffirming their dedication towards serving society beyond their operational responsibilities. Their participation highlighted the force’s long-standing commitment to humanitarian causes and community welfare.

The initiative reflected the belief that true strength is not only measured by courage on the battlefield but also by compassion, empathy, and the willingness to contribute towards saving lives. The selfless gesture of Assam Rifles personnel received appreciation from the civil administration as well as those present at the programme.

Assam Rifles continues to stand alongside civil society in various welfare initiatives, strengthening the bond between the security forces and the people. Through such noble efforts, the force continues to embody the values of service, sacrifice, and shared responsibility, contributing towards the vision of a stronger society and a stronger nation.
