Agartala, 15th June 2026: The 12th anniversary of the Central Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was observed with various programmes across North Tripura district on Monday. As part of the celebrations, a special meeting under the banner of ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ was organized at the Vivekananda Centenary Hall in Dharmanagar at 4 PM, drawing the participation of leaders, party workers, and members of the public.
The meeting focused on the achievements of the Central Government over the past 12 years, particularly the implementation of various development projects, welfare schemes, and initiatives aimed at building an ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ (Self-Reliant India). Speakers highlighted the impact of flagship schemes and discussed how these programmes have contributed to improving the living standards of ordinary citizens.
The event was attended by Rajya Sabha MP and former State BJP President Rajib Bhattacharjee, Dharmanagar MLA Jahar Chakraborty, Kadamtala-Kurti MLA Binay Bhushan Das, District Sabhadhipati Aparna Nath, District Vice-President Bhabatosh Das, Dharmanagar Municipal Council Chairperson Mitali Rani Das Sen, BJP North District President Kajal Das, and other prominent leaders.
Addressing the gathering, MP Rajib Bhattacharjee said that schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Jal Jeevan Mission, and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan have brought visible changes in the lives of people across the country. He urged citizens to actively participate in the mission of creating a developed and self-reliant India.
Rajib Bhattacharjee also emphasized the importance of environmental protection and called upon people to take responsibility for preserving nature. He stressed that awareness among citizens is essential for ensuring sustainable development.
