Agartala, 15th June 2026: Tripura’s Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury on Monday highlighted the state’s steady progress under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, stating that Tripura is keeping pace with the nation’s development journey toward the vision of Viksit Bharat 2027.
Addressing gatherings at two separate ‘Jan Kalyan Shivir’ held at Ranirbazar and Jirania, the minister said that India is scaling new heights under the dynamic leadership of the Prime Minister, and Tripura is witnessing significant advancement across multiple sectors due to coordinated efforts between the Centre and the state government.
The minister inaugurated a three-day ‘Jan Kalyan Shivir’ at Gitanjali Hall in Ranirbazar under the Majlishpur Assembly constituency. The camp has been organized to mark the 12th anniversary of the Central Government. During his visit, Chowdhury inspected various stalls set up to provide citizens with access to a wide range of Central and State government schemes.
These included Ayushman Bharat, PM Surya Ghar, PM SVANidhi, Lakhpati Didi, and VB-G RAMJI initiatives. In addition, services such as Aadhaar enrolment and updates, issuance of birth and death certificates, and registration for assistance to persons with disabilities were made available at the camp.
Earlier, the minister also inaugurated another three-day ‘Jan Kalyan Shivir’ in the Jirania Nagar Panchayat area. Addressing the gathering, he reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring the last-mile delivery of welfare schemes.
On the occasion, financial assistance was distributed among beneficiaries, including members of Self-Help Groups, as well as recipients under the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana and the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana. Cheques were handed over to eligible beneficiaries as part of the welfare outreach.
Chowdhury emphasized that such camps play a crucial role in bridging the gap between the administration and the public, ensuring that the benefits of various schemes reach every eligible citizen efficiently.
