Teacher Accused of Attempting to Molest Student While Offering Sweets to Celebrate Exam Success

Agartala, 19th June 2026:   A teacher has been accused of attempting to molest a female student who had just passed her Higher Secondary examination under the guise of congratulating her with sweets.

The accused has been identified as Dinamoni Sinha, a teacher at P.M. Shri Kamalpur Marachara Class XII School. He is a long-serving educator at the institution .

According to the complaint filed by the student’s family, the teacher had been providing private tuition to the student during her time at the school. The incident allegedly occurred on Thursday evening when the teacher visited the student’s home to congratulate her on successfully passing the Higher Secondary exams. He reportedly brought sweets to celebrate the occasion .

The family has alleged that, taking advantage of being alone with the student in a room, the teacher attempted to molest her. The student, shaken by the experience, informed her family members, who expressed extreme anger and outrage over the incident .

The family has demanded strict legal action against the accused teacher. The news has spread quickly through the local community, sparking strong reactions from residents. Authorities have not yet released an official statement, and the focus now shifts to the investigation to uncover the facts of the case .
