Agartala, 27th June 2026: The Yuva Morcha of the Chandipur BJP Mandal organized a grand felicitation programme at Vivekananda Hall in Srirampur under the Chandipur Assembly constituency to honour meritorious students who achieved success in the Madhyamik and Higher Secondary examinations during the 2025-26 academic session.
The programme was organized with the objective of encouraging students to pursue higher education and motivating them to achieve greater success in their future endeavours. The event was inaugurated by State Minister for Social Welfare and Social Education, Tinku Roy, by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
Several dignitaries attended the programme, including Chandipur Yuva Morcha President Bablu Deb, Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Shampa Das Pal, BJP Unakoti District President Bimal Kar, Chandipur Mandal President Pintu Ghosh and other party leaders and prominent personalities.
Around 300 successful students from the Chandipur Assembly constituency and nearly 100 students from different areas of Kailashahar subdivision, who secured first and second divisions, were felicitated with certificates of honour and mementos. The presence of students and their parents created a celebratory atmosphere at the venue.
Delivering the welcome address, Chandipur Yuva Morcha President Bablu Deb said, “This felicitation programme is not only about giving awards but also about inspiring students for their future journey. We hope these students will use their talent and hard work to bring pride to society and the state.”
Addressing the students as the chief guest, Minister Tinku Roy emphasized that academic success alone is not enough for achieving success in life. He encouraged students to develop skills, creativity and human values along with their studies.
“The new National Education Policy has given special importance to skill development. Students must focus not only on academics but also improve their technological knowledge, language skills, communication abilities and vocational skills,” the Minister said.
Highlighting various government initiatives, Roy said schemes such as providing iPads to top-performing students and scooters to meritorious female students from rural areas have been introduced to ensure that financial or geographical challenges do not become barriers to education.
Citing the example of Bill Gates, the Minister said, “Success requires big dreams, determination, innovation and the ability to utilize one’s talents effectively.”
He urged the students to become educated, responsible and aware citizens who would contribute towards the development of society and the nation.
At the end of the programme, dignitaries handed over tokens of appreciation to the meritorious students and wished them a bright and successful future.
