Agartala, 30th June 2026: Police have arrested two persons in connection with the death of Ramzan Ali, whose body was recently recovered from the waters of the Haora River near Battala.
West Agartala Police Station Officer-in-Charge Rana Chatterjee said that a case was registered following the recovery of the body and that the Officer-in-Charge of Battala Outpost has been entrusted with the investigation.
According to police, the arrests were made based on evidence collected during the investigation. Authorities stated that the investigation remains ongoing and that all available evidence is being carefully examined.
The two accused were produced before a court on Tuesday. Police officials said further details regarding the case are expected to emerge as the investigation progresses.
