Ayodhya, July 10 (IANS) Amid a controversy over Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath accusing previous state governments of allowing ‘namaz’ to be offered at the Hanuman Garhi temple, saints in Ayodhya came out in his support and attacked the Samajwadi Party (SP) for “hurting” the sentiments of ‘Sanantan Dharma’ followers.
“Those who talk about faith today even had ‘namaz’ offered at our sacred Hanuman Garhi. Just think about it. Imagine this: Could anyone ever recite the Hanuman Chalisa inside the Jama Masjid? Could any government, the Samajwadi Party, or the Congress make that happen? If not, then why was the sin of having ‘namaz’ offered on the steps of Hanuman Garhi allowed?” Chief Minister Adityanath said during a rally in the temple town.
Peethadheeshwar of Tapasvi Chhawani Jagadguru Paramhans Das asserted that everyone who follows ‘Sanatan Dharma’ should listen to what CM Yogi Adityanath has said.
“It was the Samajwadi Party leaders who had namaz offered at Hanuman Garhi. Under the Chief Minister’s leadership, Ram Rajya has been established. Anyone who does wrong is being investigated, and those found guilty are being punished (in the Ram Temple donation theft case),” he told IANS.
Paramhans Das called out the SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav while referring to the 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots where the Supreme Court criticised the then SP government for favouring the Muslim community in relief and rehabilitation, saying: “There is Ram Rajya during the reign of Yogi Adityanath and it will continue.”
Backing CM Yogi Adityanath’s remark, Mahant Deveshacharya ji Maharaj of Siddh Peeth Hanuman Garhi accused Akhilesh Yadav of “hurting the sentiments of those who follow Sanatan Dharma”.
“The person who has not yet sought blessings at the Ram Temple and neither allowed any of his party member to do so and is instead ready to attend any Iftaar party, what right do such people have to speak about Lord Ram?” he said.
He alleged: “These people (Samajwadi Party) only want to spread communal hatred in the state and divide the Hindus.”
According to Mahamandaleshwar Vishnu Das ji Maharaj, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister has “exposed Samajwadi Party’s double standards”.
“These are the same people who had made Muslims offer namaz on the steps of Hanuman Garhi, who constantly conspired against Sanatan Dharma, and who had got bullets fired at Ram bhakts (devotees),” he told IANS.
Questioning the faith of the Samajwadi Party members on Lord Ram and the Ram Temple, Mahamandaleshwar Vishnu Das ji Maharaj said: “They cannot be Ram devotees; they are Kaalnemi.”
Mahant Sitaram Das of Saket Bhavan Temple added: “The way namaz was offered on the steps of Hanuman Garhi during the Samajwadi Party government was, in my view, a matter of shame for Hindus and followers of Sanatan Dharma.”
