Fire engulfs three houses, sofa-manufacturing factory at Dharmanagar MC

Agartala, March 10, 2023: Unknown miscreants has set fire on three houses and a sofa-making factory in Ward number 14 of Dharmanagar Municipal Council on night of Thursday last.

It is reported that fire engulfed three houses and a sofa-manufacturing factory at Dakshin Nayapara crematorium road in Ward number 14 of Dharmanagar Municipal Council which later burnt to ashes.

Kamrul Hossain said that after 11 pm went to sleep and suddenly woke up to the smell of kerosene and saw that they were engulfed in flames. He saw that two person were running but could not book them as he did not recognize their faces.

It is alleged that fire brigade personnel did not use the water properly and the houses were completely burnt down and they became destitute.

It is to be mentioned here that the sofa-manufacturing factory is owned by the Anisur Rahaman. He stays in Rajbari area and found that his factory has been burnt to ashes. After this incident, there is a deadlock in the area.

Despite the Chief Minister’s statement, the homes of common people are still being burnt to ashes by the fire of terrorism.
