Agartala, 30th July 2026 : In a significant step towards strengthening employee welfare and promoting financial inclusion, Tripura Gramin Bank (TGB) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Finance Department, Government of Tripura on 30th July 2026 at the Conference Hall-III, Civil Secretariat, Agartala.
The MoU establishes a framework for extending Tripura Gramin Bank’s specially designed Salary Package Scheme to employees of the Government of Tripura who receive their salaries through the Bank.
The ceremony was graced by Dr. Parshant Kumar Goyal, IAS, Secretary, Finance Department, along with Dr. Akinchan Sarkar, Additional Secretary, Dr. Debamita Kilikdar, Joint Secretary (Finance), Prithwiraj Debnath, Deputy Secretary (General), Beiseia Darlong, Deputy Secretary (Budget), Narayan Chandra Majumder, Deputy Secretary (General), Subrata Kumar Das, Deputy Secretary (Budget), and several other senior officers and staff members of the Finance Department.
On behalf of Tripura Gramin Bank, the MoU was attended by Satyendra Singh, Chairman, Anup Kumar Saha, General Manager, Senior officials from the Marketing Division, and other executives / officials of the Bank.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chairman of Tripura Gramin Bank emphasized the Bank’s commitment to delivering value-added financial services to Government employees and strengthening its partnership with the Government of Tripura.
The Salary Package Scheme offers an attractive range of banking facilities designed exclusively for Government employees. One of its key highlights is Complimentary Personal Accident Insurance Coverage, available free of cost to both Regular and Contractual employees drawing their salaries through Tripura Gramin Bank. The scheme also provides several additional banking privileges and value-added benefits aimed at ensuring greater financial security and convenience. The Maximum accidental insurance coverage that will be given by Tripura Gramin Bank is ₹2.50 Crore for all category of employees those who are drawing their salary from TGB without paying a single premium. That means free of cost a salaried employee will be getting this substantial accidental coverage.
