Colourful ‘Tiranga Yatra’ in Jubarajnagar honours martyrs

Agartala, 12th August 2026: A grand ‘Tiranga Yatra’ was organised in Yubarajnagar to mark India’s Independence Day and to pay heartfelt tribute to the nation’s martyrs. The event was led by the Jubarajnagar unit of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), with BJP State Secretary Malina Debnath attending as the chief guest.

The massive procession commenced from Jubarajnagar and wound its way through the main thoroughfares before concluding at the Haflong Tea Garden area. Participants carried the national tricolour and raised spirited slogans such as “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”, filling the atmosphere with patriotic fervour.

Speaking to the media, Debnath emphasised that the yatra aimed to honour the supreme sacrifices of India’s freedom fighters. She noted that the march was also intended to inspire the youth to uphold the dignity of the national flag and follow the ideals of the martyrs.

The vibrant programme saw the presence of BJYM General Secretary Sanjit Sen, local party leaders, and a large number of enthusiastic youth workers and supporters, making it a memorable occasion of unity and national pride.
