Agartala, 26th August 2026: Panic and concern spread in the Dhala Bil area of Khowai after the body of an unidentified man was recovered from a pond near the District Health Officer’s office on Wednesday.
According to local residents, people in the Dhalabil Palpara area began noticing a strong foul smell in the vicinity from Wednesday morning. Suspecting something unusual, locals started searching the surrounding area.
During the search, they spotted the body of a man floating in the pond. The discovery quickly spread through the locality, drawing a large number of curious residents to the spot and creating tension in the area.
The identity of the deceased and the circumstances leading to his death have not yet been established. Further details are awaited as authorities are expected to conduct an investigation into the incident.
