Agartala, 30th August 2026 : The traditional ‘Khuti Puja’ was held at Ramnagar Sanghati Club in Agartala on Sunday, formally marking the beginning of preparations for this year’s Durga Puja.
Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumder, along with club officials and members, attended the ceremony, which was conducted with traditional religious rituals.
According to club sources, the Durga Puja budget has been fixed at around Rs 35 lakh. This year’s main attraction will be a grand pandal inspired by the Ramnarayan Temple in Gujarat, with organisers aiming to present a distinctive blend of tradition and architecture.
Following the Khuti Puja, club members have begun preparations for the festival, which is expected to draw considerable attention from visitors.
