Agartala, 4th September 2026 : The Ramakrishna Mission School of Languages and Ramakrishna Mission Centre for Human Excellence was formally inaugurated at the Ramakrishna Mission premises on Gangail Road, Agartala, on Friday, opening new avenues for structured foreign language training for youths in Tripura.
Established in collaboration with the Department of Skill Development, Government of Tripura, the centre will offer training in German, Spanish, French, Japanese and English.
The inaugural programme was attended by OSD to the Chief Minister Paramananda Sarkar Banerjee as Chief Guest, Principal of Ramakrishna Mission School of Languages, Golpark, Kolkata, Sabujkali Sen, as Special Guest, and Director of Skill Development Pradeep K., IAS, as Guest of Honour. Swami Shuvankarananda, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission, Viveknagar, presided over the programme.
Swami Shuvankarananda described the initiative as significant for Tripura’s youth, while Sabujkali Sen highlighted the growing importance of foreign language skills in the global job market.
Pradeep K. termed the centre the first of its kind in the Northeast and said it could expand employment opportunities worldwide. OSD Prabananda Sarkar Banerjee said the initiative would help young people gain employment, dignity and moral development, besides creating opportunities in tourism and other language-dependent sectors.
