Agartala, 12th September 2026 : Tripura Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said the state government is working tirelessly to ensure modern, improved and citizen-friendly transport infrastructure and services reach every part of the state.
The Minister made the statement while inspecting the ongoing construction of a modern motor stand equipped with improved passenger amenities at Shantirbazar in South Tripura.During his visit, Chowdhury reviewed the progress of the project and inspected the ongoing construction work.
He directed the concerned officials and the construction agency to ensure that the quality of work is maintained and that the project is completed within the stipulated timeframe.The Minister stressed that providing safe, comfortable and improved transport services to citizens remains one of the government’s key priorities.
He also emphasised the need for proper monitoring of infrastructure projects to ensure quality construction and timely completion.The development of the motor stand is expected to strengthen passenger facilities in Shantirbazar and contribute to improving the overall transport infrastructure in the area.
Chowdhury said the Transport Department would continue its efforts to expand and modernise transport facilities across Tripura with a focus on convenience and safety for commuters.
