Leader of Opposition Ajit Pawar on Monday asked state assembly speaker to direct the government to start conducting panchanamas of crops affected due the devastating unseasonal rains that lashed several areas of the state particularly the region of Marathwada.
Government employees are on strike and the government is not ready to resolve it. Hailstorm has caused immense damage to agriculture and orchards. The farmer is in distress but there is no one to do Panchnama of their damaged crops, he said.
Regarding the loss of farmers in the state, Pawar moved an adjournment motion and strongly attacked the government.
Meanwhile, Pawar also appealed to the employees that they want to ask for their rights, but they should keep a sense of humanity and do Panchnama.
He said that eight farmers have died due to hailstorm and animals have also died. The orchards have been severely damaged and the farmers are in trouble and government employees have gone on strike.
In some taluks schools are run by parents and people, he said. Pawar explained that the farmers in the state are in a very serious condition and the government is ignoring them, so the MLAs of Mahavikas Aghadi walked out of the assembly.
