Agartala, March 19, 2023: Chief Minister Prof Dr Manik Saha on Sunday attended a blood donation camp organized by the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine, Agartala Branch at Agartala Government Medical College and GBP Hospital.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Dr Saha said that the equality between demand and supply of blood needs to be maintained. That’s why more blood donation camps should be organized in different parts of the state and only then will it be possible to maintain the equality of blood demand and supply.
The Chief Minister urged the people to come forward to donate more blood by the start of the blood donation camp.
He said that due to the elections, some shortage of blood was observed in various blood banks in the state. The people of the state were urged to come forward to donate blood. Responding to that call, blood donation camps are being held in different parts of the state.
The Chief Minister expressed satisfaction in the management of the blood donation camp organized by the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine, Agartala Branch. The Chief Minister thanked the public, OT workers, as well as doctors for coming forward to donate blood spontaneously.
In this camp, Health’s Secretary Dr Debasish Basu, Mission Director of the Tripura Branch of the National Health Mission Subhasish Das, Director of Health Services Dr Subhasish Debbarma, AGMC and GBP Hospital Acting Principal Dr Subrata Baidya, AGMC and GBP Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Sanjib Debbarma were also present.
The Chief Minister welcomed the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine, Agartala Branch on the occasion. Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine, Agartala Branch President Dr Subhasish Dam and Secretary Dr Tushar Majumder were also present. A total of 65 blood donated in this camp.
