No greater donation than blood donation: CM at TGOA’s president

Agartala, March 19, 2023: Chief Minister Prof Dr Manik Saha inaugurated the voluntary blood donation camp organized by the Gazetted Officers Association at IGM Hospital here on Sunday.

Addressing the blood donation camp, Dr Saha said “Any donation is a great job. The donation widen the field of reconciliation. But blood donation is not an option. Everything is below this donation. It is impossible to save people without blood. So the other name for blood donation is life.”

“There could be no greater donation than blood donation. A few days back, the blood crisis was observed in the state. Already, voluntary donation initiatives have been taken from various government and non-governmental organizations in the state to schools, offices. It is through these blood donations that Tripura can get out of the problem of blood crisis. There is already a positive response”, he added.

The Chief Minister said that this is the real image of today’s Tripura. In Tripura, people of all parts are seeing brotherhood and the mentality of doing something for the society.

Chief Minister Dr Saha mentioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that whenever the Prime Minister has called for the people of Tripura, the people of Tripura have responded to the call. The evidence has been found through the outstanding contribution of the Tripura government to the COVID-19 confrontation.

He also said that the Gazetted Officers Sangh has been working for the society in various ways. The Chief Minister congratulated and greeted all those who donated blood to today’s blood donation camp.

Gazetted Officers Association President Tapan Das welcomed the event. Social worker Rajib Bhattacharya also spoke and the general secretary of the Sangh Debasish Roy was present.
