Assam Rifles seized ‘Yaba’ tablets worth Rs 18 lakh in North district

Agartala, March 22: Radhanagar Battalion of Agartala Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), seized 6000 ‘Yaba’ tablets worth Rs 18 lakh from Chamtilla, under Panisagar police station in North Tripura district on Wednesday.   

Based on the credible information, a joint operation was launched by Radhanagar Battalion and Panisagar police station. The team apprehended two individuals and seized a motor vehicle along with 6000 Yaba Tablets worth Rs 18 lakhs.

Apprehended individuals along with seized contents were handed over to Panisagar police station on Wednesday for further investigation and legal proceedings. Assam Rifles highlighted it’s commitment towards drug free society.
