Agartala, 30th September 2026 : The Hindi Month Celebration 2026 at Central Sanskrit University (CSU), Ekalavya Campus, Lembucherra, concluded with a valedictory ceremony at the campus Multipurpose Hall on Wednesday.
The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by dignitaries, followed by Vedic Mangalacharan presented by campus students. The National Anthem and University Kulgeet were also performed.
Prof. Sushanta Kumar Raj, Associate Director of Ekalavya Campus, delivered the welcome address, while Dr. Uttam Singh, Head of the Department of Bauddha Darshana, presented a report on the activities conducted during Hindi Pakhwada 2026. He said more than 100 participants took part in various competitions organised as part of the celebration.
Dr. Gautam Hazarika, Chief Operating Officer, ILS Hospitals, Agartala, attended as the chief guest and delivered the keynote address. He highlighted the importance of Hindi and stressed the need to promote Indian languages in academic and social life.
The programme also featured felicitation of guests and distribution of prizes to participants in various competitions. Prof. Bulusu Padma Mitra Srinivas, Director-in-Charge, CSU Ekalavya Campus, delivered the presidential address. Dr. Mohan Lal Verma conducted the prize distribution ceremony, while Dr. Manoj Kumar Sahoo proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was conducted by Ms. Snigdha Das, faculty member of Indian Languages (Hindi).
The valedictory ceremony marked the conclusion of the month-long celebration aimed at promoting Hindi and creating greater awareness of its linguistic, literary and cultural significance.
