Agartala, 9th October 2026 : A preparatory review meeting for ‘Mayer Gomon’ and Sharad Samman was held at the Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) office on Friday to review arrangements for the upcoming events.
The meeting was attended by Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumder, West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar, West Tripura Superintendent of Police Namit Pathak, Traffic Superintendent of Police Kanta Jangir, Director of the Information and Cultural Affairs Department Bimbisar Bhattacharya, AMC Commissioner Saju Wahid and other officials.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Mayor Dipak Majumder said that a meeting had been held on September 21 in the presence of the Chief Minister, involving representatives of various clubs, puja organisers and officials from different departments. Several decisions were taken at that meeting, including the decision to hold a subsequent review meeting to assess the progress of preparations.
Accordingly, Friday’s meeting reviewed the arrangements for ‘Mayer Gomon’ and Sharad Samman. The Mayor said that the concerned departments were working in accordance with the instructions issued to them.
He informed that ‘Mayer Gomon’ would be held on October 23, with the main programme scheduled to take place opposite Tulsibati Girls’ School in Agartala.
According to the arrangements, each participating club would be allowed to bring a maximum of seven vehicles, including five large vehicles and two small vehicles. Each club would be allotted 10 minutes to participate in the programme.
