Agartala, 12th October 2026 : With Durga Puja approaching, clubs across Udaipur are making final preparations for the festival while continuing their social welfare activities.
The Udaipur Netaji Subhash Social Organization is preparing for its 42nd Durga Puja with a budget of Rs 8 lakh. This year’s theme is based on an imaginative temple design, with the idol crafted by Gurupada Panda of East Medinipur and lighting arrangements managed by Jalsa Decorators. Cultural programmes will begin on Shasthi, while Anna-bhog will be served to underprivileged people throughout the four days of Puja. The club will also organise a community meal on Navami.
Meanwhile, Rajarbag Chorus Club organised a mega blood donation camp on Sunday as part of its Sharadiya Durga Puja celebrations. The camp was inaugurated by Information Technology Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, who highlighted the importance of blood donation. A total of 52 donors participated in the camp.
Celebrating its 56th year, the club has set a Puja budget of Rs 3.8 lakh, with a theme depicting rural Bengal of the past. Cultural programmes will be organised throughout the festival, and Anna-bhog will be served on Maha Ashtami.
Both organisations said their celebrations would be accompanied by community-oriented initiatives, reflecting the spirit of service and social responsibility alongside the festivities.
