Congress candidate Partha Saha’s residence attacked at Udaipur

Date:

Agartala, 2nd November 2026 : The residence of Congress candidate Partha Saha, situated on the western bank of Jagannath Dighi in Udaipur, allegedly came under attack by unidentified masked miscreants on Sunday night. According to allegations, the attackers broke through the property’s fencing and hurled abuses before fleeing the spot.

The incident has raised concerns over the security situation ahead of the upcoming civic elections. Notably, the attack took place just hours after a large police contingent, led by the Superintendent of Police (SP) and Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), conducted patrols across different parts of Udaipur town.

The incident has once again triggered questions over the effectiveness of security arrangements and the safety of political candidates during the election period.
