The Congress on Friday paid rich tributes to its veteran leader and former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on her birth anniversary and said she will always have a special place in the history of Delhi.
Taking to twitter, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge wrote, “On her birth anniversary, we remember the tireless efforts of Sheila Dikshit in bringing a remarkable transformation of Delhi. “
Kharge said during her tenure as CM she
ushered progressive and inclusive development through her sheer commitment to serving the people.
Remembering the former Delhi CM, Congress MP Rajeev Shukla in a tweet said ” As CM, she changed the face of Delhi. “
“From flyovers and metro to clean air, she contributed a lot for development of Delhi. She will always have a special place in the history of Delhi,” he said.
Senior party leader Pawan Kumar Bansal also took to the micro-blogging site and wrote, “On her birth anniversary we remember and pay tributes to late Sheila Dikshit , the longest serving CM of Delhi who ushered unprecedented and unequalled development of Delhi.”
Congress’ chairman of Media and Publicity Department Pawan Khera in a tweet wrote, “Remembering Sheila Dikshit ji on her birthday. She made the world proud of Delhi – a city she dearly loved.”
