Agartala, June 11, 2023: In connection to the sexual assault of a 14-year old minor girl at Paikhola area in Belonia, Belonia police station staff has arrested the accused youth named Ajit Malla within 12 hours of reporting the incident on Saturday.
After the news of sexually abusing a minor girl and impregnating her, the police are in awe. Within 12 hours of reporting the news, the Belonia police station staff arrested the unknown youth. At first, the girl did not know the youth’s name is Ajit Malla, but the girl said that she used to see him on the streets. Shortly after reporting the news in different media, police personnel from Kakraban police station went and tried to find out the details of the incident.
Later the case was referred to Belonia Women’s Police Station. The minor girl did not say that a phone number was given to her by accused Ajit Malla. Based on that phone number, the Bilonia Women’s police station arrested him from his house at around 1 AM on Sunday. He was produced in the court on Sunday.
Moreover, according to police sources, the accused Ajit Malla is married. The case with his wife has been going on for the past few months. He works in a local brick kiln. On the other hand, the minor is undergoing treatment at Gomati District Hospital.
