Agartala, July 30, 2023: Hundreds of unemployed individuals are wandering on the streets with despair. Through the JRBT, the government has delayed recruitment for three years. No recruitments have been made so far. On Sunday, they protested against the government at the City Center, voicing their grievances.

Their plight has been ongoing for three years. Hundreds of educated youths are crossing the age limit every day, but the government seems unconcerned about their plight. The oral examination for Group-C was held on June 06, and to date, no merit list has been published. The oral examination for Group D is yet to be conducted.

On July 13th, during the sacred Legislative Assembly’s budget session, the Chief Minister promised to release the merit list abruptly, but it has not been published yet, and today is July 30. Job seekers demand that the merit list be published within the next two days.

They express disappointment over the delay and remind the Prime Minister of the nationwide Amrit Mahotsav being celebrated. However, amidst this celebration, the youth of the state are suffering from unemployment, feeling that their lives are going in vain as they remain victims of unemployment.

Directly holding the Chief Minister responsible, they say that if any unemployed person faces an unnatural death, the Chief Minister should be held accountable. The protest continued for an extended period on Sunday.
