Agartala, August 12, 2023: In a proactive move to heighten public awareness about the threat of dengue, Naba Jagran Club, situated on Ramnagar Road No. 8 in the capital city, has initiated a series of impactful measures. On Saturday, under the auspices of the Naba Jagran Club, bleaching powder was meticulously spread across the roadside drains stretching from Durga Choumuhani to Ramnagar Road No. 8.
Simultaneously, a tree planting initiative was organized within the club premises, showcasing a multi-pronged approach towards community betterment. The event was graced by the presence of dignitaries, including Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumder, Corporator Abhishek Datta, Corporator Nibhas Das, Club Secretary Bishnupada Dhar, and Club President Gautam Roy.
Mayor Majumder reassured the public of the effectiveness of the undertaken measures and urged citizens not to panic. He highlighted the ongoing efforts of AMC, which includes mosquito-killing sprays and daily fogging utilizing fog machines. Majumder also emphasized the importance of the instructions given to corporators to prioritize their respective wards in the dengue control measures.
Agartala Municipal Corporation has been diligently collaborating with the health department to combat dengue, reflecting a holistic approach towards safeguarding public health.
