Agartala, August 23, 2023: “Meghbalika,” the renowned all-female band from Tripura, is set to mark its sixth anniversary on August 27, 2023, with a special song release during the “RagaLok 6.0” event. Overcoming societal barriers, this group of talented young women has carved a niche for themselves not only in vocal performances but also in instrumental music.
The band’s lyricist, Ankita Roy, made the announcement during a press conference held at the Agartala Press Club on Wednesday. She highlighted that “Meghbalika” has gained recognition not just within Tripura but also outside the state, where they have delivered impressive performances over the years.
The “RagaLok 6.0” event, scheduled for August 27, will take place at Hall No.-1 of the Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan. The highlight of the program will be the presence of the internationally acclaimed Bangladeshi singing group, “Jaler Gan.”
Ankita Roy expressed the band’s belief that their joy in reaching this milestone is shared with the people of Tripura. In the spirit of celebration, “Meghbalika” extends an open invitation to everyone to join them at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan premises at 5:30 pm on August 27 to commemorate this special occasion.
