Agartala: August 07. Tripura Police arrested two persons with a car loaded with cannabis at Naka Point in front of PR Bari Police Station of Rajnagar Block under Belonia Sub-Division around 5 pm today. The arrestees were identified as Hanif Hossain (26) and Rulamin (30).
Both are resident of Durlab Narayanpur area of Sonamura. According to the OC of Rajnagar PR Bari police station, while checking the vehicle at Naka Point, the police recovered 32 kg of cannabis from an Alto car bearing number TR03K0285. Rulamin and Hanif who were in the car were also arrested. It is known that cannabis was being taken for the purpose of smuggling. The police of PR Bari police station registered a case under the NDPS Act, case number 32/2022. They will be produced before the Belonia court tomorrow.
