PCC to observer birth anniversary of the late former PM Indira Gandhi

Agartala, 17th November 2023:  Following the national trend, the Pradesh Congress announced today that they will also observe the birth anniversary of the late former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on November 19. Given the current circumstances, the significance of observing Solidarity Day is paramount, stated party spokesperson Prabir Chakraborty during a press conference.

He highlighted a concerning global trend of conflict and division, fueled by bigotry and corruption. Chakraborty emphasized that in light of these challenges, the All India Congress Committee (AICC) has called for celebrating the 106th birthday of late former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi as a day of solidarity on November 19, including a plantation program. Additionally, on this occasion, Prabir Chakraborty raised allegations of corruption within various departments of the state government. He expressed concerns about efforts to sow discord through narrow-mindedness and emphasized the need for unity in the face of such challenges.
