NLU Tripura holds School-Connect Programme at St. Andre School

Agartala, 8th December 2023:   The National Law University (NLU) Tripura conducted its third School-Connect Programme at St. Andre School Bodhjungnagar on Friday, December 8, 2023. The programme is an initiative by the NLU Tripura to empower students and foster an interest in legal education among students from schools in the northeastern states of India, particularly emphasizing benefits for the state of Tripura.

The session was led by the Vice-Chancellor of NLU Tripura, Prof. (Dr.) Yogesh Pratap Singh, who discussed and highlighted the importance of fundamental rights and duties as citizens of the country. He also gave emphasis on the endless contributions made by lawyers towards society and various legal choices available to students. The session ended with an interactive round of Q&A from the students and the speaker.

Merelin Darlong, Assistant Professor of English and Coordinator, School Connect programme, the Principal of the school Fr Iswar Happa CSC and teachers participated in the event. The programme aims to reach out to more schools in the state and create awareness about the opportunities and challenges in the field of law.
