Agartala, December 25: On the 99th foundation day of the Communist Party of India (CPI) at its Krishnanagar headquarters here, the party expressed strong criticism against the RSS-led BJP government, accusing it of exploiting religious sentiments for the past nine years.
Milan Baidya, the CPI State Joint Secretary, addressed the gathering, highlighting the party’s formation on December 26, 1925, in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
Baidya pointed out that despite being in power for nearly a decade, the RSS-led BJP government has failed to fulfill its promises, leading to a continuous rise in unemployment across the country. He emphasized that the government has consistently played with communal sentiments under the guise of religion.
On this significant occasion, Baidya called on the people to unite and oppose the communal tendencies of the BJP-ruled government. The Communist Party of India, founded 99 years back, reasserted its commitment to advocating against the exploitation of religious sentiments and addressing the growing issues of unemployment in the nation.
