State government allocates social allowances to 29,410 residents; BJP extends gratitude

Agartala, December 30: BJP state spokesperson Nabendu Bhattacharjee on Saturday expressed gratitude to the state government and the chief minister on behalf of the Pradesh BJP for the decision of providing social allowances to 29,410 people, including the elderly, widows, abandoned women, unmarried women, and the differently-abled.

The state government has revealed its commitment to social welfare by announcing allowances for a total of 29,410 individuals. The announcement was made during a press conference held at the Pradesh BJP office on Saturday, where Nabendu Bhattacharya, the spokesperson for Pradesh BJP, expressed gratitude on behalf of the party.

Detailing the breakdown of the social allowances, Bhattacharya specified that among the beneficiaries, 14,197 individuals would receive old age allowances, 1,653 would be granted widow allowances, and 5,388 would benefit from the husband abandoned allowance. Additionally, 420 unmarried women above the age of 45 will receive allowances, while 1,946 persons with disabilities (Divyang) will be included. Furthermore, 5,806 individuals will receive other forms of allowances.

During the press conference, Bhattacharya acknowledged the state government and the state chief minister for their proactive steps in extending social support to 29,410 new recipients. Asmita Banik, spokesperson for the State BJP, joined Bhattacharya in expressing appreciation for the government’s commitment to social welfare. The move is expected to positively impact the lives of diverse groups within the state, aligning with the government’s broader vision for inclusive development.
