CM leaves for Shillong to attend 71st Plenary Session of NEC

Agartala, January 18:  Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha embarked on a journey to Shillong today to participate in the 71st Plenary Session of the North Eastern Council (NEC), scheduled to take place on January 19. The session, to be presided over by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, is anticipated to witness the presence of prominent dignitaries, including North Eastern Development (Donor) Minister G Kishan Reddy, Governors, and Chief Ministers from the eight North Eastern states.

The key agenda of the plenary session revolves around crucial discussions and deliberations on regional development, cooperation, and strategies to address the unique challenges faced by the North Eastern region. The presence of high-ranking officials from the North Eastern Zone Council and relevant ministries is expected to contribute to the formulation of comprehensive policies aimed at fostering growth and inclusivity in the region.
