Agartala, 3rd February 2024:  In a disheartening turn of events, aspiring Secondary Grade Teacher (STGT) job candidates have been unable to secure a meeting with the Chief Minister to press for the recruitment of overages. The prolonged absence of action has left these candidates in a state of despair.

Despite a persistent shortage of teachers in several schools across the state, the STGT job aspirants have yet to be considered for addressing this critical issue. Expressing their frustration, one candidate revealed multiple unsuccessful attempts to meet and engage in dialogue with the Chief Minister regarding the matter.

The aggrieved job aspirants argue that their pleas for attention have fallen on deaf ears, and the Chief Minister’s unavailability has added to their distress. In light of the ongoing teacher shortage crisis, the STGT job candidates are now grappling with feelings of hopelessness.

Their sole request to the government is a plea for the immediate appointment of STGT job aspirants to fill more than 70 teaching positions. The candidates assert that their qualifications and dedication make them well-suited for the vacancies, offering a viable solution to the prolonged shortage of teachers in state schools.

As the STGT job aspirants continue to face setbacks in their efforts to meet with the Chief Minister, the urgency of addressing the teacher shortage crisis looms large. The affected candidates hope that their concerns will be heard and that prompt action will be taken to alleviate the strain on the education system by appointing qualified individuals to these crucial teaching roles.
