Thieves loot house at Bishalgarh while owner attends social function

Agartala, 6th February 2024:   A house at Rautkhala in Bishalgarh was burgled on Monday night when the owner was away at a social function. Kalpana Devi Chakraborty, the owner of the house, returned on Tuesday morning and found the lock on the door of the room broken and the house ransacked.

She informed the Bishalgarh police station about the incident and they arrived at the scene to investigate. According to Chakraborty, the thieves stole 20 to 30 thousand cash and other valuables from the house.

The police suspect that the thieves belonged to the notorious gang, which has been involved in several similar cases in the area. They are trying to trace the culprits and recover the stolen items.

Chakraborty expressed her shock and dismay at the incident and appealed to the authorities to ensure the safety and security of the residents. She also thanked her neighbours for their support and cooperation.
